Hi all. My FL1 won't start. a couple of weeks ago it started ok but wouldn't start again when hot, but leave it a few hours and no problems, then it got worse and I'd have to crank it for 5/10 mins on and off before it started, but was a but sluggish under full load. So checked and changed plugs/fuel filter/air filter etc. and it ran ok for a week. But now I've got nothing, no solenoid click, nothing!!! Anyone got any ideas????

I imagine this is a different problem.

Pretty sure the starter motor is not linked to the engine in any way other than the engine ECU sending a coded message to the immobiliser to allow it to crank. And, of course, its bolted to it.

It will be something like the battery is to low/caput, faulty starter/solenoid/relay, engine imobilised (does the alarm light go permanently lit when you try to start?).

What do you mean crank it on and off? What happens if you just hold the key in the start position?
When you changed the fuel filter, are you sure you fitted the correct one, there are several different designs, which leak if the wrong one is fitted.
