Hi all, couple of questions....

Driving along today, quite happily....pressed the clutch pedal to change gear...BANG.
Pedal to the floor, no clutch!!!
On inspection, the bracket holding the slave cylinder has bent and broken, and the cylinder has dropped out and popped its insides out...
Garage have said new hydraulic system, which is fine, but can anyone explain why this has happened?
The clutch pedal has always been quite 'heavy', but never sticking or similar.
Never had problems before.

Also just had two new tyres fitted as the fronts were worn out. New tyres to the back, and backs now on the front.
Now, for the last few months its had a bit of a 'whine' from the rear, which has been getting progressively worse, but has now almost completely disappeared, but has moved to the front!!
I'm guessing that this is a symptom of 'saw tooth', BUT i've been Mondo all of this year, so not caused by 4wd.

Thanks all,
Russ

You need a new clutch matey, the braket snapped cos it's got to heavy probably cos someones been driving with there foot resting on the pedal and the release bearing has burnt a groove in the preasure plate diaphram spring, if only the bracket and hydrolics are replaced it will brake again.
