In order to do a 'proper job' of this conversion, what parts do I need please?

- The headlights, obviously. This is going to be 'orribly expensive because this is France...
- I don't know the correct term, but the full-width trim that goes under the headlights
- Some anti-scrote retaining straps.
-What else, please?

There's a bit more to it than just changing over the headlight units, even on a pre-facelift Disco 2.
There's a full explanation here on the forum on what's needed and how to do it. I'm pretty sure that you'll need to obtain LHD headlight units too.
You can find the procedure at:

If you ask me, it just ain't worth it, but there might be some mileage in looking at upgrading to pre-facelift Disco 2 headlights.

No harm in switching the headlights, as they have better output than the D1's. That is the reason I switched to D2 headlights - not in anyway to look like one, as I much prefer my 300tdi than the TD5's ;)

But I am bias as I really like lights :D as I took my facelift's apart, and fitted projector lenses and DRL's to get the best light output I could.

Can be done with a grinder and a few relays to get the lights to work correctly.
