Hi all,
About to remove and reseal the valve block on my 1999 4.6 HSE as it is loosing all it's air when left for a couple of days.
While i'm at it, I want to fit an inline pressure gauge. Can anyone tell me where the pipe from the valve block to the tank is located on the valve block, don't want to cut into the wrong one.
Many thanks.

Hi Wammers,

It,s the tank that's loosing air. Suspension stays up ok, but after a couple of days standing it takes a good 10 mins before the height indicator stops flashing. If used every day, not a problem. Suspect N/R valve or Diaphragm.
When you say Violet (sorry i'm a bit colour blind) is that the one closest to the exhaust filter ?

OK check airline from block to tank for leaks if you are happy with that. Allow compressor to run and stop, then switch engine off. Open a door to prevent self levelling. Remove exhaust filter and put your finger over outlet, if air is coming out that is almost impossible to stop with finger pressure NRV1 is leaking. Diaphragm has nothing to do with air leaks from tank unless compressor is running.

Cheers for that Wammers, will check it out.
Can you give me another clue as to the (Violet) valve block to air tank pipe ?

6 mm diameter black plastic pipe with a violet colour code band on it. It is the pipe nearest the front of the car.

Ah ha !!!!
Got it, marked No 6. Colours mean little to me Wammers.

You wanna see me with wiring, S**t Hot me !!! :D:D:D

Many thanks mate, will tackle it sometime in the week.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Cheers......Tc. ;)

Yeah that's it. Number six keep forgetting about the bloody numbers on the box. You will not want to know that the other 6 mm pipes are RL is Red, RR is Blue, FR is Green and FL has no colour code then. :D:D:D

Same to you have a good one. :):)

He may not but I do! I'll make a note of that, although I only seem to have red and green tags left on mine. From memory the bottom of the valve block has a front a rear solenoid so presumably 2 of the holes are the same so should be able to work it out from there!
