Fitting a NOS kit to a Disco

Chinos I can live with, just, but not when combined with jumpers worn 'over the shoulder'.

Only Dicky Bird should be allowed to get away with that particular faux pas.

In fact, I was looking at a typical vehicle best suited for propane only the other day. Rear wheel steering; tremendous torque output at less than 1500 rpm. It's towing capacity far exceeds your typical Landy. In fact I have a picture of a similar model here.

Nitrous can be setup to be very gradual. And yes you could use it all the time, well at least switched on all the time. First of you'd use a window switch so that it only activated at certain times. You'd also only have it working at WOT. So if you are at part throttle it'd not bother you at all. You'd also use an electronic controller so you could continually adjust the nitrous under full throttle conditions giving it a very smooth and progressive delivery.

But engines with turbos are normally designed for them and so is the vehicle its fitted to as with v8's ect.

so you cant use it all the time

NOS in a 300tdi? :doh: wtf makes you even think to fit NOS to a landrover? :crazy:

on another thread this morning i got stuffed claimed to have little mechanical knowlede..... yet here he is again pontificating as if hes the expert
 
I've just read through this whole thread and have a few questions:

1, Where is the proof from I got stuff the he has fitted this mod?

2, Why get so wound up when people say you are wrong if you have proof to prove them wrong?

3, Why would you want to get a Disco 2 and remove the TD5 and refit it with a 300tdi, is that not going backwards?


I have to agree with most people on here why would you want to fit either NOS or propane to something shaped like the broad side of a barn and the handling of a jelly. Yes I have modded my Disco but I get better MPG and a nicer drive, to go any further would start to eat into the inproved MPG.

To carry out a mod like adding NOS or propane without lowering the suspension and uprating the brakes is not only dangrous but utterly stupid.

I've had a 1999 TD5 and a 2003 TD5 in the past, I was not impressed.
I now have 3 300tdi's, 2 are on the road and one is getting stripped for it's running gear when I come across a clean D2 at the right price with a blown TD5. There seems to be an abundance of them!!!!
In my opinion TD5's have never ending problems and are very susceptible to problems when laning
300tdi is my choice, it's my opinion bud, I'm not asking you to agree.:D
 
Where are the photos of your propane fit on your 300tdi that was my first question, one that others have asked for as well, you have made great noises about it but never came up with the goods.

If you think 300tdi's are so great why fit one to a Disco 2 why not just get a Disco 1 with a 300tdi in it and save all the hassle?
