Can I have the steps please?

My manual says

Remove grill and fans
Remove the bonnet Slam bit above radiators
(my Condenser is out already)
Remove Diesel control unit and box
Remove battery
Removed plate below battery
Undo 4 bolts holding Intercooler
Remove both pipes
Slide Intercooler out

Sound right?

Thanks

I've never taken those bits out. A bit of a squeeze but it's been out a couple of times for cleaning. Mind you I haven't got an A/C rad in at present.

No need to remove battery or fans. If you have a good 3/8 drive socket set with a wobbler can be done by just removing grille and slam panel. Bit tight but do able.

Thanks guys....will leave the battery bits then. I have the Condenser out as that is being repaired. So hopefully as Wammers says, I can "wiggle" it upwards!

It's the bottom intercooler bolt on the drivers side that can be a bastard to get back in. You need a long 3/8" extension and a fairly stiff (not floppy) wobbler (universal joint) and 13 mm socket with a touch of grease in it to hold the bolt and a deft touch to get it back in.

if your condenser is out you're half way there! Just remove slam panel, removing the bonnect cables (green arrows)

Remove the plastic panels each side (pink arrows)

then intercooler bolts and hoses then it’s job done?
