Hi everyone , I am new to landyzone and wondered if anyone can give some opinion/advice on fitting a Discovery td5 transfer box to my td5 Defender
Cheers
Wooly :)

Well , I do quite a lot of distance driving in my defender , as it is my only vehicle . Could do with a bit more cruising speed

Hi Wooly

Its really worth doing. My 110 has gone from a top speed of around 60mph to around 80mph. Certainly makes cruising along much more relaxing.

Ashcrofts did mine for me + put in recon ed G + T boxes (didn't need them, but thought it would be a good idea at the time.

Once you've done this, remove the cat (if it has one), centre box and blank-off the egr.

If you have any cash left after that, get your vehicle to Porny or BAS (if you haven't already).

Fuel consumption for me is much improved - 30mpg on the dot now.

Thanks Tom , I have located a transfer box - allready ditched the EGR
thanks for the advice

It would be better than 30mpg if I could just lift my foot off the happy pedal... Thought the novelty of being able to get going a bit quicker and overtaking would wear off, but no it hasn't!
