Hi,

Just after some advice. i've bought a new head from Turners as my existing one is knackered. The turners head comes with the valves already fitted. (My car is a TD5 2003 16P engine)

I'm in the process of moving everything over from my old head and have trial fitted the camshaft. However the camshaft is not sitting properly in the housing as a couple of the cams are hitting the roller rocker arms. Can anybody please give me some advice on how to fit the camshaft. Does the camshaft carrier pull the camshaft into position when it is torqued up? This is the first time I've tackled a job like this.

Regards

Steve

Thanks very much. I 'll give it a go tomorrow.I've put the lash adjusters in the vice and it certainly has helped although it's still sitting high at one end.
Thanks

Yes as above have the head sitting on clean wood so so the valves are off the bench as when you tighten the cam down the valves will open.
