My p38(diesel) has developed a leak somwhere in the cooler , looks as if it is in the lower region , is it as easy as it looks to change it ? loosen the hoses and then just lift it ?

are there any plugs that may be leaking ?
regards from Sweeden

The auto and Manual use the same pattern part radiator , so don't worry if you have an auto and there are two holes in the bottom got the manual gearbox cooler its a separate chamber for the oil cooler not needed on autos.

ordererd one from paddocks , let´s hope the new 3-wayhose and the new radiator will take me trough the winter , otherwise there may be a bmw or a vw passat on my driveway soon .

When it arrives be sure to do a marble test on the radiator to check it has a baffle, some seem not to :)

saw that test on the utube , what is a baffle ??
The Baffle is an upright plate that sits in the chamber at the top of the Radiator.

As the radiator has the 'top' and 'bottom' hoses at the top of the radiator....the baffle is there to stop the water going in one hose and then exiting across the top of the rad and out the other hose....it diverts the water flow downwards through the rad core and then back up again through the other hose.

Test it with a marble....if it rolls all the way across the top of the rad, its fecked....

Hopefully paddocks will deliver a proper one , amazing that someone even manufactur such sheit.
