Fit a discovery transfer box to my land rover 110 300tdi

Evening all

Does anyone know of anyone in the surrey area that could change my transfer box for a discovery one as mines far to short 50mph is about it.

If so a rough price to do it for me and if anyone knows what transfer box I need?
All help will he much appreciated

What engine and tyres have you currently got, mine's a 300tdi with 235/85 16 and will sit at 65

It has wolf wheels 7.50 skinny ex mod tyres. It's a discovery 300tdi engine I can't even use 1st gear it's so low it will do 60 but it's really screaming

OK, what is wrong.

What is the rolling diameter of your tyres?

My 90 with 285 75 16 will do 85, OK it gets noisy but that is expected.

I believe some mod defenders were fitted with a 1.667-1 ratio transfer box, a normal defender has a 1.410-1 ratio and a discovery has a 1.222-1 ratio. There's usually a sticker by the filling plug. If it's a 1.667 that would explain why you're screaming the nuts off it

285 75 is roughly the same diameter as 235 85, which is also roughly the same as 750 .. all around 32" diameter within an inch.
