New to this site and blogging have a landrover 90 (1986) currently non runner cylinder head trouble and one piston cracked had it in pieces this afternoon

£500+ isn't exactly cheap as chips

Not sure yet, web browsing engines from what I have seen re cons are worth more than my landy will keep on browsing

gota look around, i got offered one a couple of weeks back for 200 quid ok not as cheap as chips but cheap for a running motor

+ fluids - downpipe - CAF hose - clutch - release bearing - bearing holder not made out of chocolate

it all mounts up

Will a 200tdi fit in a 1986 90 to the existing gear box etc with ease or is it a difficult job

its an absolute nightmare..,takes 3 months and the use of voodoo...if i was you i'd stick to what you have...i'll take the 200tdi engine off you and dispose of it in an environmentally safe fashion..
