bit worse than i thought then, it looks like quite an easy job to do.
i was spoilt with my old series 3 i was always amazed at how cheap parts were but this is a different animal altogether......

it says on the lynx site is reads and resets air suspension but i think there is another thread regarding diagnostics somewhere

i thought i had heard that air bags were £100 a corner, maybe a p38 or just a dream..

Read and reset is not the same as calibrate, Hawkeye does not do the calibration either as far as I'm aware. Allcomms or Faultmate if you need to re-calibrate.
 
Island 4x4 still have the dunlop struts on special. £220 all in delivered!
I'm gonna order the n/s/f as i fitted the o/s/f last week.
It'll only be a matter of time!

Never tried the EAS calibration on my Faultmate yet
Certainly doesn't seem as straight forward as the all Comms procedure
 
my mate popped round with a basic diagnostic and it picked up a couple of engine sensors but nothing else
i think i'll order the allcomms and check it first before handing it over to anyone, depending on how long it takes from the states

i rang island and they have a trade counter so i can always drop in

Mine took about 10 days - don't forget you will have to pay import duty, mine was around £16 or so
 
cool, i've ordered mine tonight so i will just have to be patient until then as much as i want to drive it, its right on its bump stops at the front bless it, looks like one of the whacky racers

i really want to run a diagnostic and clear everything first before giving it to the local garage as its already been diagnosed visually as front air bags as the front is down but i just want to make sure what else it could be or could also be before i give it up to them

i did well to drive 300 miles in it, probably find its cooked the compressor as well but i know i can get the kits off egay to repair that

my all comms is somewhere near Denver at present so its on route......

I thought i would get an email with a download location for the software but all i received was a paypal receipt and tracking information?

i couldnt find a link so i googled the downloads page which i did find a link to but it was broken
i have emailed rsw as on the website it now says you will receive a download link and key after payment but as i dont have my hardware yet its no problem and its only been 2 days
 
I know he is currently updating the all Comms to include live data etc, so maybe he has removed the link....

If you get no luck, I have the setup file I can send you....you will need the unlock code that Storey will send you!

i was emailed a link and key last night so i will download and install on my 'range rover designated laptop' as it will now be referred to.....
also known as my ancient ibm stink pad
 
i am getting chuffing bored with waiting!!!!!!!!
my range is still on the drive and hasnt moved since the day it got home as i am still waiting for my all comms to turn up from the usa
it was sent promptly and i paid the £35 postage which now 10 days down the line seems a bit steep for what i am guessing is going to be a jiffy bag and a cable.......
i have managed to develop more faults though without even moving the thing

i had the clock pixels repaired but when i went to start it after refitting, the key isnt recognised in the ignition and the fecking battery has gone flat as well

i'll add this to the new torque converter i am probably going to need and i haven't even driven the b#*stard off my drive yet

i knew these things have issues but fook me

and i thought my series 3 was a tart:mad:

I feel for you, these are not cars, they are hobbies or a heap of **** depending on your point of view:rolleyes: You do seem to have been even more unlucky than average.
 
My All Comms took 2.5 weeks or there abouts....

Be warned, it may be sitting in Customs waiting for import duty to be paid...

Sometimes this is paid for by the Courier and they contact you for reimbursement before they send it on, and other times (as in my case) they don't contact you, you have to cantact them and pay before Customs will release the package for further delivery...

Contact the Courier (Fed Ex in my case) and see the status....

And yes the Range Rover is a real Prima Donna...a true needy b!tch, but one I would never be without!
 
thanks saint, here goes then, fitted the battery back on after charging, key works perfect now, the new display i had done at cartronix in waterloovile, pefect and clear
however.....
the b*tch now says STOP-LOW OIL PRESSURE, checked dip stick and looks good, i noticed when i got it it was a little tappety for a second or two when first started but then goes quiet
the only good thing i can see about this car is if i put a hose pipe from the exhaust to the window it will finish me off quicker than my golf diesel.....

help!
