I've had my Freelander 1 (02reg) for approx. 1 month and have been avidly reading the posts on this forum to learn as much as I can. The advice and 'how to's' have enabled me to :-
Renew engine oil and filter
Replace the fuel filter (under the bonnet - what a job that is replacing the mounting screw!)
Fit an EGR bypass kit - the 'stell' one from ebay.....I'm 'stell' trying to get my hands clean.
Swapped the crankcase filter fo the BMW cyclone one.
Changed the air and pollen filters.
Many, many thanks to all who take the trouble to make this wealth of information freely available:)

Hi, I also took this approach in the early days of TD4 ownership and spent many hours trawling the forum and that time was very well spent and has undoubtedly saved me both a lot of cash and time and allowed me to fully enjoy this awesome vehicle.

Yes i have to say the information and knowledge from the guys on this forum is priceless!!Well done guys and many thanks...:)

Thanks to this forum I also managed a DIY service, a bmw crankcase breather, one of the stainless stell egr bypass jobbies!and front discs and pads.Thankyou everyone. Don't tell Ming about this outbreak of morale.

Welcome to the OP, and :Dsnigger:D at the gaylandererers patting each other on the back. They'll be forming a daisy-chain next:eek::5bpuke:

And each time I see an input of Freelaner I can't resist of having a look at his signature ......:D:D:D:D (What else do you expect from a 70 year old single ??)
