First Landy advice?

Im 19 and have 2yrs NCB, currently paying £660 a year fully comp on a 02 plate fiesta.

Always wanted to have a landy because of off-roading i did when i was a kid.

But i am mainly going to use it for greenlaning, off-roading occassionaly and just commuting.

Would you suggest a:

• Series 2A?
  Series 3?
  Defender 90?

Also, just had a look in LRO and the internet for ex-mod landys and found out that most of them are quite cheap and in good nick.

Any advantages/disadvantages to ex-mod 90s?

wots ya budget?I would say get a disco with a bit of t&t for cheap and run it into the ground-same for a classic.If ya want more than a toy a defender would be great but not so good as a daily drive.But everything is related to how much ya wanna spend.Na mod landys might be cheaper than other engines to insure...

Yeh forgot to put my budget in and its pretty low. £2k! Will have a look at some early discos
