firstly I must say sorry for the colour of the internals of this pump, this has been run on Bio, SVO and Black diesel and is covered in gumming, no doubt the reason this pump died, however it did manage 150k miles so it's not all doom and gloom

First you need to tackle the Bosch security bolts (if you can't crack this don't both going any further) the top bolt hammer on a 7mm socket and the smaller bolt can be tapped round with a small flat punch (or screwdriver) and a hammer, then removed with needle nose pliers without damaging the head.

Then remove the other Torx bolts

Remove the middle section, making working on it much easier

Now undo all the red screw, and the Blue ones (they are left hand thread)

you will also need to unpick the electrical connectors (purple) I used heat and a flat head screwdriver

bend back the 2 wires highlighted in green

with the top removed you have access to the coil, using a deep 7mm socket to remove the studs will release everything

remove the springs line up the shaft and you will be able to remove the coil

Anybody can strip a pump down it's putting it back together and setting it up so that it works where the trick comes in. Have you seen an injection pump test and set up rig? :D:D

Yep but a bloody complicated giant magnet. Point is stripping something is really easy, it's putting it back together and getting it to work, that is the bitch. :D:D:D

not worried really, stripping without breaking something is the hardest part.

the rebuild should be simple enough once everything is cleaned up

Personally, I couldn't be bothered, too time consuming and set up may prove impossible.
I'll send mine off to Diesel Bob or Bosch for overhaul when the time comes as I have a spare.

I'm sure Johnny marked everything up on all sides before starting.

Resoldering those little copper strips / wires (I think you coloured them purple?) can be tricky.
