findings while changing clock bulb

i found this connection behind the dash while changing the clock bulb they might not be needed with my model. (200 tdi) any ideas?

Does your fan work properly, at all speeds? I have a feeling it might be related.

Yer the fan levels work well.. can't say that I have felt much heat through the blowers. still looking into it ?
