If a deal I am looking at on a fender comes off. I'll have a tidy (ish) 200TDi, lifted with off road boots and a snorkel fitted for less than that budget. 1993 with MOT till April and taxed. Would that be of interest? Or where you looking at standard Disco's?

Ive got a 94 300Tdi in tidy condition. Met blue tax and Mot 146k on clock loads of history and old mots.
In last 18 months its had new screen, boot floor, rear bushes and new battery.
Usuall crunch into 2nd gear, dash lift, rear windows and wiper dont work.
Im asking £1100 ono.

why? the LT77 box is renowned for syncro probs - the R380 less so - it also has the crossdrilled update.
But when they brought it out it gave nothing but problems. Mainshafts and gears were poor. I remember when worked at the local dealers we used to keep 3 exchange boxes in stock and enough parts to rebuild 4. The warranty return area was full of gearboxes.
