After months of the odd night and weekends stripping the series 3 back to its chassis, finally started on the rebuilding work today. First job was to sandblast the chassis and treat with Ferrozinc. Got up nice and early and pushed chassis onto the drive ready for my mate to sandblast it. Apart from the mess to clean up,whow what a difference, done blasting in under 2 hours to reveal its in bloody brilliant condition.
Did about 3 hours of grinding ready to treat. Definately recommend it, I'd never of got into all the nooks and crannies with wire brushes, drills or grinders. So treated and now looks great. Finally feels like i'm on the road to a full rebuild and everything i do now is a step nearer completion. I've attached before and after photos so you can all see the difference. So next step new springs, shocks, brake lines, axle rebuilds its going to be interesting
