Picking it up next week and to perform all final checks etc..

So far im very happy, had a drive round the local area and well really very very different to my Fiesta!

Josh.

Nice one. I got a TD5 90 like you. Dont let anyone tell you it aint as good as a 200/300tdi. Mines brilliant and as long as your careful and sensible with the electrics you wont have too many problems.

What year is it?

And welcome on board. :)

That is a nice looking 90, you will learn to really love (and hate) it...

TD5's are better than 200/300's, they use better drivetrain parts, the gearbox is stronger (and not an LT piece of ****e like the 200) and in just many ways its superior, if only just by a small margin. I drive a 200 90 and I wouldn't mind a TD5, I just know if the end of the world comes and these damn zombies attack I want my 200 over any TD5...

:welcome2:

Only had mine twelve months (okay, it's a Freelander - but I gotta start somewhere) and I wouldn't be without it now, good driving position, solid presence on the road, and mine's Black too.

Enjoy!

2002 its also not black, aparently its called 'Discovery graphite grey'

Very excited to drive it back next week!

Got some green lanes found locally going there first then somwhere better!

Not sure why I wanted a TD5, maybe because I saw one everyday at the station on the way to work/uni, otherwise no idea

congratulations!!!! welcome to the TD5 club; I got a 110 and it is a great car. just need good care and good understanding of how it is built and how it works> Please purchase the complete workshop manual and by reading it you will really understand this little marvel of technology. I work with mine everyday in the jungle and it is a great car.
good luck and all the best

Thanks for that Bernard, I will indeed. Personally im not that knowledgeable when it comes to engines, though couple of my mates are damn good so they are going to teach me as things break and time goes on. Though i'll give that book a read anyhow.
