Filter box for snorkel

What have people fitted to they're discovery 1's instead of the original air filter box when installing a safari snorkel. I bought the snorkel second hand so it neve came with any piping For inside the engine bay. Do they make universal air filter boxes?
 
When new, they come with a blanking kit and new inlet.

I used a pipercross viper on my old 300tdi, it was one that my mate had lying around in a garage. It fitted surprisingly well, I just had to buy a silicone coupler to connect it to the snorkel. :eek:
 
Sorry to hijack this Fred but what's the best way to test the snorkel once fitted? I finished mine yesterday sealant should be dry now so wanna test it without driving it through a lake praying everything is ok.
