im 20 and i run a modded series 2a i was 19 when i took out the policy and mine was 900 quid fully comp with year round european cover with my grandad as a named driver (the only one i trust with my 2a)

Lancaster did that with me said £2500 online, so i phoned them up and said i would take out the police £250 a year i asked " yes thats right he said" i will pay it now i said

just found out, its to do with me post code........very bad area for car thieves.......lol

I got full com from admiral for just under £800 i have 12 years no claims so that may have brought it down

Where do you live, Basra? It only costs me 1k to insure my Range Rover.

Put a limit on the mileage per year.
Use it only for commuting to one place of work and social pleasure if possible.
Fit a disk lock or something like a clutch claw.
See if you can get it in a garage over night or at least on a drive if you have one.
Remove any mods which aren’t needed.
Get an alarm and immobiliser fitted if it dun’t have a factory one.
Find a comparison website which will search many insurance providers.
Be prepared to have a gizmo fitted that monitors your location, speed etc for insurers who think you’re a risk due to driving ability.

It"s the area lads............did the same quote in my sons address who lives in Dorset.....same details at HIS address.....fully comp...thats everything inc aa cover......£850....

Before i got mine i did a quote for a M reg disco they quoted me about £400 i ended up getting a N reg the same it went up to £700 they couldnt give a valid reason apart from thats wot the computer says, muppets.
the most anoying part is if you need a claim they will only give you market value which is very little for a car that i wouldnt part with for at least £3000.

WOW that’s crazy. When I was 21 I took out motor traders and it wasn’t much more than that and I could add an unlimited number of cars and it didn’t matter what the engine size was. I’m 27 now and it now cost just over £500 with tradex. I can jump in any car now and drive it-doesn’t matter if someone is insuring it or not, just need to have my insurance docs with me. Would never go back to mugal insurance
