few wee niggles, need some advice please

i bought my 4.6 hse at the weekend has 55k on it,runs amazing , though i have found 2 faults, first is the heater modile has a book symbol showing and im getting no warm air through at all, all electric flaps work and change and the blower motor works fine also the 2 hoses going inside via the bulkhead are warm.
2nd fault is the low range, when is normal high range the red dot follows the selector, when transfer over to low range it dosnt swap sides also i get the message engage neutral, i disconnected the battery to see if this would reset it but has made no difference,

I think the book indicated air con problem. I have heard that Autoglass do a good re-gassing service that guarantees to work or no charge so this should check it out, either fix it or identify a leak perhaps.
Mine is a bit fussy when engaging low. I have stop stop, put on handbrake, engage neutral for a few seconds, then move it across. It seems to take a few secs to realise it is in neutral first. Hope this helps

Servo motor, it contains a motor, gearing and potentiometer which gives Hevac resistance feedback to tell it position.

Normally the gearing gets damaged

Ahh well that sounds like the chap, I did notice the air con clutch dosnt engage but n my head that shouldnt affect warm air coming through

I have the same issue So very interested in your thread Although my "checkbook" symbol is intermitant and only appears when the out side temp reads 0 even on warm days

No gas in the aircon will not show a book symbol, you just won't get cold air. The book symbol is due to a blend motor, it is either the flap stuck, eightinavee found a fix for this I think, do a search, or a blend motor assembly has given up. Are both sides the same? There are 3 blend motors, one for air distribution and 2 for temperature one left and one right.

The casing can distort and trap flap- Range Rovers has an article on it from memory
