fencing wagon truck cab set up..

I do a lot of fencing work and settled in getting a 110 hi cap. It needed to be a defender for the towing weight I had a 300tdi Pickup before and it wasn't as good as a hi cap. I paid 6k for a 2000 td5 with 72k miles and so far it done everything I need it to. I wouldn't put the weight over the roof. When I'm carrying fencing stuff it's normally a fair bit of weight so wouldn't want it over te roof.

looks like what i have there allready altho the rear tub is attached,i have the baulkhead its not a csw.

so i can cut the tub up then to make the rear the right size and fit some cappings out of the angle alloy i just got given from the inlaws.

i just dont want to buy a load of ****e for 10k when i got a decent 90 here,
got a truck cab roof and rear window panels to check out tuesday so all being well i can get the cab swopped over next weekend if the weather is ok.
i did consider changeing the rear cab section but i just may as well cut it and make some doors in the side and a little cupboard in the angle space for jack and a few bits...the jack ill slide in nice in the cab section behind the seats on the outside of the cab easy.so i think ill just go for it.I dont need it to tip so it is simple work..

yeah i get that,im fully loaded everyday.
as i said in my earlier plan i was going to build a chassismounted rack over the roof of the existing 90 pick up butt but a 90 flatbed is the way im gunna go.
i had a 130 flat bed that was ideal other thanits sheer size lol,i cant find a nice 110 under 10k so i will stay with the devil i know,the 90 with a flatbed willbe just the size ineed as a slack ass 1 man bnd and i can allways hook up a trailer:)

bloody navara wouldnt go up the wet field otherday with the trailer and i had to carry a load of lamb a good mile.

The 90 is king.:cool:
 
If you can find someone breaking a series tub you may be better off taking the filler from that as its riveted in so just drill the pop rivets out and place on the fender tub which would look neater IMO

it will be neat which ever way,

i think i can do better and incorporate it to the body,as the tray is quite high im keen to box in the side section with alloy from the butt.i may go the open neck route but i want to tank guard it and keep it tucked away so the bloody cap dont freeze locked in the winter..:mad2:
 
most tippers ive had and used are that way,i can do better i think,i may just be able to leave it in place under the tray im not quite sure.
i have a bonnet mount spare so no worries with that and the exhaust is side exit so a bit of work there..

Best bet I reckon is in cab for security and so it wont ice up if not a properly cut one in the side of the bulkhead


Other option would be to have it under the tray itself so you have to tip the tray to get access to the filler or a rear mounted tank with an access panel in the bed and a locking top on the tank ?
 
Filler under drivers seat like a proper landy

My mates roof rack came out to front bumber
