Is there a fairly simple way of decking the FBH without removing the entire unit please?

Any guides on how to access chamber?
Got one that is getting a bit smokey. Would letting it run for an hour help it self clean?
Thanks

You have to remove it for access to the combustion chamber/glow plug, & you'll need a gasket set for the rebuild p/no 9000861A (for the Thermo top C.
If you use the link Webasto Thermo Top C | Webasto Thermo Top C Manual | Butler (butlertechnik.com) you can download all the info you need. Hope this helps.

I used to run mine on kerosene for a couple of hours a year, which seemed to keep it clean.
It's a bit of a faff to run on kero, but it did mean it got cleaned without having to strip the unit out of the vehicle.

The tractor yard I'm working at uses kerosene as detergent.

When a tractor needs cleaning it is sprayed with kero and left for a bit to let it soak in.

Its then blasted with a high pressure water blaster and years of oil and gunk just falls off it.

It all drains into a pit that separates the water from the hydro carbons.
