Does this sound like a knackered flasher relay?....

have a 2006 TD4 Freelander, and have been having intermittent flasher problems - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Usually fixed with a hard bang on the steering wheel. I think it was the indicator stalk on the fritz, but i have now found that its competely dead, and the Hazards have stopped working too.
When i use the central locking, though, all the indicators flash once. So i assume the locking has a different connection to the lighting, than the dashboard controls.

Fuses are all fine, but i am not hearing any clicking from the relays at all. Is it likely the flasher relay has gone?

Anyone know of a list of suitable replacements, as mine has the blue Hella unit, which seem to be old and no longer made. nI have seen a couple on ebay, but £25 for a used one seems pricey.

Reading other posts, i was wondering whether or not i need a specific Relay.

My car was fitted with a detachable tow bar (i guess it a factory option as i bought the car as 2nd user, and from what i saw of the work done by the original owner, everything was dealer done). Having said that, I don't think its ever been used, and i have never seen a trailer light on the dashboard.

thanks
Adam

Found one on ebay…got the same part number that landrover mention in the parts catalogue, for £10…works a treat, and I finally got to see the dashboard trailer light!
