Hello peeps it's an 1999 dse it's came out with
0142 engine speed needle lift

Any ideas

Wammers answered that in your other thread....

It is the No. 4 Injector Sensor - it measures the injection timing against the crank position sensor to ensure correct fuelling....

Stick with the one thread - Wammers has already given you some diagnostic information to check.

Wammers I put it on a new tread and my old one coz I need to get it sorted before Friday as I'm going on Hol. Thank u for helP

Well do as i said in the first thread. Check the connections to it they maybe corroded and need cleaning. Other than that you need a new injector about £180.00 then need it fitting.

Just a tiny question mark on the diagnosis. We know that the Nanocom Evo has a glitch on this reading.

Blackbox say that the software in the Evo is the same as in their earlier products.

If the garage uses a Blackbox product, the reading might be dis.

£180 is £180.

It does indeed. But that is on the speed reading. It will not be a Nano the code came off they do not list numbered fault codes. Or if they do quote a number i have never noticed one.

The fault does not seem to be present on my Faultmate Extreme, I think it is just a coding error on the Nano.

I had this same fault on my old BMW 525 TDS. There is a resistance check you can do across the injectors plug. I can't find the resistance you should get at the moment but mine was giving a different resistance. Once replaced (with a secondhand item from a Rangie funnily enough) it was back to full strength. If I can find the figure I'll let you know.
