Fan thingy ??

Hey all, am embarking on a few upgrades to me disco, first thing to be done is the EGR mod, then its off to get a cat free downpipe, in amongst new filters new fluids so on and so forth anyway ...... me local indy landy place recommended this static fan type thingy that goes in the air intake pipe .. somewhere, anyway apparently what it does is to create a vortex effect in the intake my question is anyone had experience of these or tried em are they any good and do they make much difference or are they a complete waste of time and money ?

Yep, tried one and it made SFA difference. Don't bother.
Cleaned out my intercooler though. Didn't take too long, cost next to nothing to do (bit of old petrol) and that did make a difference!

It's probably called a "Hyclone". Tested in depth by another forum and found to be - surprisingly - USELESS !!!!
