Facelift Receiver Hitch

Is the receiver hitch for the facelift designed differently to the pre-facelift? Trying to fit the hitch that Dunc had on his pre-facelift and its gonna necessitate cutting out half the bumper to make it fit.

If it is different, are the mounting points on the bottom of a facelift hitch the same distance from everything? As that would mean the exhaust guards wouldn't fit a facelift...

Jamie had to trim his bumper for it to fit. The exhaust guard fitted.

Yeah we've cut most of the black section off to make it fit, nevermind! Fit the exhaust guard tomorrow probably

Yep, trimmed a good section of black plastic off......not noticeable though, all bolts up ok.

Is there any reason why I can't make my exhaust guards sit a little tighter to the back box to get some more clearance at the back instead of it sitting almost flat?

Yeah, some of the back boxes are bigger......so it will rattle against the plate.

Small back boxes are the way forward......got loads of clearance on the back of mine.

Yeah I've been thinking about supplying smaller back boxes with a steeper angle guard to make it more like a skid with the way it'd sit so the car couldn't beach on it... Don't know if they'd sell though
