Hi
Finally got round to facelifting my 2002 Freelander. Bigger job than I expected with more bodywork mods than I thought there would be. Anyways now done and although the front and rear bumpers don’t quite sit as neatly as they do on a pucker facelift model the whole thing looks really smart. The problem I have is that when I joined up the wiring from my old loom to the new headlight wiring plug my dipped beam bulb goes off when I switch to main beam, instead of staying on as it should on a facelift model. I know the earlier headlight had a two filament bulb with only one working on dipped and one working on main beam but can’t figure out how to sort it. Is it as simple as connecting the live from the main beam to the dipped beam or will that just result in the main beam staying on when dipped beam is selected? The MOT is due soon so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that but Ive searched high and low on the forums but havent managed to find an answer to this particular problem. As I said have used the facelict wiring cable and plug but cant get the low beam bulb to stay on along with main beam. Any help would therfore be greatly apreciated.
