Extreme condensation

Been suffering from extreme condensation in car, windscreen is literally dripping.

Had it previously but went away with use, but been standing for a few days and now windscreen is soaked again and dripping onto dashboard.

Have previously tried drying everything out inside car and changed pollen filter which was dry ( but filthy).

Any ideas as to cause and possible solutions ?

Common water ingress is through the back door (window not sealing properly), or a leaking heater matrix (have you been losing coolant?).

May be other areas.

Back door seems ok, no sign of damp and coolant level has never dropped at all.

I've been going through this recently and am slowly making progress. So far I can offer the following ideas:

a) the fuel filler neck is a source of water ingress, take off the rear drivers side interior boot trim panel and have a look there; it was pooling in a void, and then draining in to the sub woofer... I've put some marine sealant around the neck and so far so good
b) check the aerial mount isn't perished, mine was and water was coming in there too
c) sunroof drain tubes, one had detached and I think was contributing to water pooling behind the drivers seat
d) if yours is a three door, check the hard top seal
e) and as per the advice above, you might want to check the water shedder is still intact on the rear door and the seal at the bottom.

I suspect there are other sources, previously I also replaced the drivers door seal.

I suspect it will be a few sources, check the carpets in the passenger footwells.

You don’t need to drill a hole in the floor! I refuse to do that, despite the many suggestions of that as a solution!

Not sure about condensation, that looks like its been submerged for a while.

The body/seats look to have scrubbed up OK - but the seat belts show how bad the 'water damage' must be.

Mold on touch surfaces just means the vehicle has been damp and warm inside, which allows the mould spores to grow, particularly on touch points like steering wheel, gear lever, seat belts and so on.
It happens on cars that are parked up for a period of time over a mild winter. I've had it happen to a couple of cars I've had over the years, neither were wet inside, just normal stagnant air type condensation type damp.

The FL2 doesn't leak like the FL1 did, but it can get wet carpets if the AC drain tube is blocked. It's an easy fix, then put a dehumidifier inside the vehicle for a couple of weeks to dry it out.
It might be a good buy.
