Hola from a very wet South of Spain.

I was out with a few pals over the week end in Portugal on some of the many green lanes and old mining trails, there has been quite a few wash outs with the recent heavy rain and i managed to f%*@the front dif, i stripped it yesterday and found (excuse the lack of technical terms in english) the small axel the goes through the two small cogs in the centre to be snaped in three, a friend has mentioned its quite comon and can be solved by fixing a salisbury axle? how do i know if i already have one and if not does it mean replacing whole axle or just internals? its a 96 disco 300 tdi, im runing bfg 235/85/16 and a two inch lift.

Many thanks in advance

fitting a salisbury would be expensive and require a special propshaft, if you want a stronger diff buy a 4pin or suitable locker type
