I am wondering if the coolant on petrol and diesel Freelanders is pressurised the same amount. This is controlled by the filler cap spring.
Does anyone know if different caps are specified for different models or does one size fit all?
 
Strictly speaking pressure is not controlled but any over pressurisation is relieved via the cap. Very inexpensive part to change if you are in any doubt. I recently changed tank and cap in 20 mins as there were hairline cracks around neck of bottle.
