Hi
After some advice on Expansion Tank Cap, which part number is the latest & is there a newer expansion tank? As my local LR dealer has supplied me with an expansion tank, which is identical to the old one & said the cap didn't fit so has ordered another one.

These are the part numbers they have ordered:
PCF00010 HEADER TANK (COOLING)
PCD100160 CAP HEADER TANK

I’m not impressed! Considering it’s a dealership & all

Yep good advice, always fit the level sensor on a K1.8 car. The level sensor unit goes downstream of the expansion tank.

Can't remember the latest expansion tank part number, but the cap is PCD000090. If I remember rightly you can't get the old tank any more so you have to get the newer one and the cap that goes with it. The difference between new and old tanks is the thread form / diameter for the cap.

Thankyou all for advice:) had a look earlier & like you said the threaded hole is larger on the new expansion tank, so just need the right cap for it (PCD000090) & I'll sort one of those sensors(PCF500060). Any idea how to wire the sensor up?

You could wire it in with the engine coolant temp sensor as this would then drive the temp guage into the red when the collant level is too low. Or you could fit your own light / buzzer maybe.

:)
