exhaust

anyone help i have a series three landy fitted with a 2.5 diesel i m told out of a early 90 problem is exhaust gone at back box phoned paddocks up they say its a different exhaust to the standard 2 25 it looks the same to me a 3 fitting manifold studs i was going to replace full exhaust with a 2.25 they say no ? thanks dave

I think Steve Parker Land Rovers (Google) does special exhausts.

Look in you free-advertiser, you should find somebody who will make you a complete exhaust ..... drive in - drive out.

If you have a turbo, you do not actually NEED a silencer. I have a S2TD with about 6ft of pipe, ending in front of N/S rear wheel. Wife complains that it is a bit noisy, but I can hear her complaining, so it can't be that bad.

I've heard that the 2 1/4 diesel exhaust manifold will bolt onty the 2.5 diesel cylinder head for a 90/110. Is yours non turbo? You may already have one of these manifolds in place with a standard 2 1/4 diesel exhaust system. If you post up some photos we'll be able to tell you what you've got.

you are right i got a exhaust fitted yesterday 2.25 went straight on to landy so must assume it is either a 2.25 ex manifold or the 3 studded connection is standard on the early 90 2.5 s thanks very helpful
