Have you read the part in the MOT test manual that says "Check that no part of the exhaust system is missing."

If it's not a diesel it is seriously ill.

Needs a good dose of diacalm by the looks of it.

More than diacalm methinks surely the middle box does more than just muffle sound

I thought the middle box also kept the correct back pressure.

I thought that too think it will be replacing centre box for 40 quid then

On my last p38 4.6 I removed center and cats (I had a very good mate that did mots) and under full throttle it sounded like a f-ing tvr cost me a fortune in fuel cos I always had the loud pedal in the carpet!
not done owt to the diesel yet cos the complete exhaust was replaced just before I got it a year ago

On the other hand I had a hole in my exhaust just after the middle box, so basically it wasn't using the back boxes and I didn't really notice any difference in the noise.
Mind you my engine sounds a lot better than his!!!!
