ok so next on the job list is get rid of the quad exit exhaust system that a previous owner had fitted,
Sounds nice but I prefer the stock look,
I will probably just swap it with my other l322 that will be for sale once i get round to taking off the towbar that I need, and maybe the exhaust, I guess it's easier to do both jobs together
anyone want to swap a standard exhaust for this stainless one?????
The exhaust has been joined near the back, the exhaust on the other car is one complete unit from the turbo back, rather than risk undoing the bolts i think I'll just cut it and join it,
Anyone know the size of a standard td6 exhaust pipe so I can buy a couple of sleeves?

I’ll have to get a picture tomorrow as it’s to dark now
It’s the size of the standard exhaust I need because I’ll join the standard back box to the standard cat back pipe,
The quad exhaust has 2 adapters to join into the standard pipe

Went out so thought I’d post a couple of pics,
The second is from the rear of the car facing forward shows the joins

Yeah not my cup of tea, they stick out a good 4” from the bumper to, i was tempted to cut them down but decided on buying a used back box, I’m sure someone on eBay will want a bling exhaust, its a Jackson engineering one so not much change from a grand, and it looks pretty new, the car had some chrome bits thrown at it a couple of years ago so I’m guessing that’s when it was added, on the plus side I bet on a V8 it’ll sound great. And it’s compatible as it splits from the standard pipes behind the axle

i bet they cost a few bob as well new , know i shouldn’t compare it but u often see those dustbin size exhausts on novas driving around blue water and just makes me laugh and the driver thinks it sounds good

no u don’t , just made me laugh

I like those big exhausts on Novas etc. Mainly because of the laugh they give on a dreary day. :D

Yes I’m sure they think if it’s louder it goes quicker, maybe we’re all just getting old, personally I prefer the stock look and sound
But hopefully someone will like it enough to part with a few readies, someone must buy them otherwise there wouldn’t be dozens for sale on eBay

I should think that bodywork cost more than the car was worth
That's where it all gets a bit odd. The licence plate displayed on it is for a 1988 ,blue, Nova untaxed since 2002 no MOT details held with DVLA. The veh in the picture is apparently a 1988 Nova, albeit in yellow. The photo comes from 2005. The asking price....... £4700.
Wonder if they got it.
