Hi All,
The P38 (4.6) has been making a growing chuffing noise under load and so I'm going to get the exhaust manifold off and have a look. A spare that I have I've inspected and this post is just to see if anyone else has come across this.
If you look up the manifold from the front pipe flange its plain to see a tiny hole where the manifold pipes are welded and meet!
So its going off to be welded and hopefully replace the one on the car. Could anyone confirm if the manifolds are mild or stainless steel - just so I can tell the welder?
