Ex Mod 90 12 pin towing electrics

Hi,

After 15 years of thinking about it I recently got my hands on a newly cast MOD 90. the plan is that we can use this to tow the dive rib with 7 pin civi electrics and there we have the wee problem!

I have just removed the NATO hitch and fitted a drop plate but if possible I would like to keep the NATO 12 pin towing electrics that come through the rear cross member

Question?

Has any body managed to find a plug that will fit into the socket or is there an adaptor?

Stick another socket on

I put another socket on attached to the drop plate. I put the NATO pintle onto a drop plate so have two plates which both go on at the same time if needed. The 7 pin electrics are on the Dixon Bate and the NATO still on the rear cross beam. That way I can tow anything.

I did make up a cable to go from the NATO electrics to a 7 pin female which involved a few hours with a multi meter working out what went where. But I kept forgetting it when I needed to use it! So the extra socket seemed the most sensible!!!

It's easy to wire in the extra socket as the wiring in the back offside box is standard landrover and easy to connect into.
