At the moment I am doing this :doh::doh::doh:
My 2a is running a solex carb it looked a bit knackered with quiet a bit of silocone sealant around gasket areas so i thought I'd replace it and on advice ordered a weber. In the mean time I actually did some research
now I'm starting to think a refurb of the solex is better as after removing the silicone I've found it was doing very little and the carb still runs well. I also have a zenith from another series! So which would you choose? At the moment I'm favouring refurbing the solex , if people agree is it a job to be done at home or is it best to send it away?
