Hi im Tom from Halifax West Yorkshire =]
ive only got the one landy, a 1974 series 3 its aceee i love it to bits hehe
owned it since i was 14 and spent nearly every penny earnt on it,
currently got a 2.25 4pot in but had it boarded out to a 2.5 3 yrs ago.
looking at fitting a 2.5 turbo d out of a l200 soon =]

Erm, I wouldn't - the L200 engine is reknowned to be made of chocolate!! Wouldn't touch one with somebody elses' barge-pole!!!

im not really sure what the crack was with he boaring out to be honest my uncle had it done for me and ive never really asked questions about it.

im not reli bothered if it is made of choc to be honest, the l200 eng has only 30,000 on the clock and i didnt pay anything for it so im happy with it , at the min i just run about the farm in the landy and it isnt really pushed to its limits, really i want to run it on red deisiel, currently in the market for a late 200tdi defender to use as the run about.

30,000 eh? It's doing well, I know several people who have had completely destroyed engines whilst still under warranty and the CCC don't want to know!!!! I'd line up another spare lump, just in case

get a perkins sherpa engine not very fast but torky as feck dont think i ever used 1st gear in mine and they outlive the bodies by several hundred years so there should be a fair few around
