ET0 or ET20 for Wolf Style Rims

Hi,

I'm new to the off-road scene and after many years have eventually managed to get myself a Defender 110 300TDi. I'm looking to get some Wolf Style alloys but not sure on what offset to get - ET0 or ET20 are the offsets available.

I'll bet putting 235/85r16 BFG ATs on them. I understand that the greater offset will narrow the wheelbase, but what is better? Will the ET20s rub on full lock, etc?

There are lots of threads on offset, and I've tried to read as many as I can, but can't seem to get any opinion on the above. Any help is appreciated.

Do you mean alloy or steel?

The XD steel rim is commonly referred to as the Wolf rim as that is what they were originally developed for / fitted to.
The only alloy fitted to a Defender XD (Wolf) that I am aware of is the Blindo which formed part of the WMIK conversion.

The offset won't make any difference to the wheelbase which will remain the same regardless of what offset is fitted.

It’s the steel ones I'm after - tuff torque are the ones I saw for the wheel/tyre packages. An yes, I meant the track (width)not the wheelbase - newbie mistake. If I understand correctly, The ET20 will result in the outside edge of the wheel being further under the wheel arch compared to the ET0. Didn't know what was the better option.

Thanks for the will they fit link. Will need to measure the offset on my current wheels as there is nothing stamped on them.

Naiively I’m assuming both ET0 and ET20 will fit. Was wondering though there are any advantages/disadvantages to either?

Depends what you are starting with? - as Litch says the Track Width is the variable here.

Play with the configuration link when you have a baseline to work from.

I’ve run all sorts of variations over the years, but as i’m 90% road now I run a stock ET33 wheel with 265/75/16 A/T which is more than adequate
