Hello everyone. Long time since I had a Land Rover - last one was 35 years ago and it was held together with string and chewing gum. My new one is rather more sophisticated and quite a lot bigger. I took delivery of a HSE Freelander 2 last week - not brand new, but 18 months old and an ex-demonstrator.
About to take off for the Alps and am struggling to get the top box onto the roof bars. It really is a long way up for there for a short bloke like me who tops out at an (un)impressive 5'8".
First massive complaint is that the DVD based Satellite Navigation system is contained on 3 discs which is a bore because I cannot see an obvious way of preparing a route from Mid Wales (where we live) to Salzberg in Austria (destination) via Bruges where have booked a hotel to doss on the outbound journey. Do I poddle to the Channel tunnel and then on the train change the discs over? Seems a bit of a half arsed solution. Any ideas?
