i noticed the other day when i was on me way to poole,thru coombe bissett where the big lorry garage is on the long straight bit of road,theres a sign that says byway to oxdrove..

have ya been there is it any good. i thought at first the track just led to a farm...obviously not?
 
yep its the north end of the drove.....on the right hand side a bit further towards the sixpenny handley roundabout is the rest of it much better fun ! will take yo all the way to tollard royal !
 
not as far as i know,sometimes they have voluntary one a couple of bits but no tro's as far as i know. The best route is to start at tollard royal ending up on the salisbury/blandford road.turn left drive 100 yards.turn left onto anothe greenlane that takes you into coombe bisset with a stream crossing at the bottom !
 
tis a very good route, beautiful in summer and a bit sticky in winter. does get a bit tight in places (or is that just when we get lost?). well worth a drive, and S71 knows it well and is a good guide

sounds good..when mines back on the road might well have a look see
