EPB GOING ON & OFF & ON & LOCKING ON

I have a 2007 RR Sport TDV6 auto I believe I have done everything twice over to repair my EPB. I have replaced the cables replaced the EPB black box replaced the gears & had it in & out so many times & still it will not work properly. The brake shoes are adjusted up.
With the cover off the black box I have watched the mechanism. It goes on then off then on & off again before going on & the gears grinding & staying on. It then will not release.
Please someone tell me what I am doing wrong. I have very little hair & I am pulling it out in frustration.

There's a procedure for adjusting the rear handbrake shoes as is the disco 3.
Uf it's adjusted wrong they can lead to all kinds of problems. The epb mechanism is a Renault unit iirc

Also a bedding in period to ensure they are suitably in tune.

Seriously, if setting up the shoes falls outwith the normal 'just touching' then I have only one thing to say...

Burn it.

If its jamming are you sure the adjustment is correct?
Adjust them all the way on so you cant turn the wheels and try again to see if it jams.
When you say "on then Off" do you mean it moves then stops then moves more and jams?

It looks for a reading from the force sensor to tell how much to apply wonder if its not seeing it and just winding it till it jams. Or could be a cause for it applying, seeing a signal then stopping but then it thinks its not enough and goes again.

Are you showing any faults on the dash?
Have you checked the connector is not damaged (we had a fred where that was an issue recently).
