enjin swap

been offerd a rangy 3.9v8 runnin carbs..its a d reg..it has a 4 speed manuel box at the mo..i have available a 200 tdi enjin out of a later rangy...couple of qs
1...could a auto box be fitted to the v8 enjin and what would be involved
2...im assuming the 200 tdi enjin fit would be straight forward but what about fitting g/box transfer box would the lt77 or r380 be a better bet,,mounting points im unsure of

yr prolly best in the 90 section as its hard to say what will fit without measuring. i remember reading that the bulkheads were further back on some of the defenders, dunno if that helps!
