I cannot open facebook at the moment, I work using my wife's account and this is now being bothered by some bunch called "meta" etc.
So I'll make sure he looks at the page and sees the ad.

....... and guess what, the ad is no longer live!
Just checked it is still there, maybe try searching the guys name?

I found pages of them must be the Spanish or Portugese equivalenrt of John Smith.

I tried looking for his pic but haven't found it yet, and searching for Antonio Almeida Maidstone came up "none found".
Could you possible put up a link or a URL or something?
Thanks for all you are doing.

Finally found it had to change my location to Maidstone!

I really do not get how facebook works, cos if I thn click on his profile from the ad, he comes up. But not if I search for him.
Bonkers.

Just searched Antonio Almeida in Facebook‘s Marketplace and the only vehicle he is selling is a red Ford Focus. But still loads of D3s and very cheap.
Opened this a second ago and it is still there although there is a "pending" marker on it, whatever that means.
See what you think.

Although this looks like just a sign on page it does in fact go straight to his ad.

I am sure first saw it for sale a few weeks back, the previous advert had more emphasis on the camper conversion.

My neighboure emailed me just now, he is looking at buying a repair kit to mend it.
HMMMMMM!!!!!!
Tempted to simply wish him the best of British luck!
But you never know!
So I'll give up on this for the mo.
But it has been interesting and I've learned a bit!
Cheers all!

So Stan.
first he needs and engine and now he’s getting a “repair kit” this should be a fun outcome.

we actually still don’t know what he thinks the problem is that needs another engine, although we al think :vb-groan2:
and a repair kit isn’t gonna get it:vb-confused2:

As you say, he doesn't even know how i.e. in what way, the engine is bust. I don't know D3s but I told him that they commonly suffer broken cranks.
Here's a pic of repair kits on offer he sent me.
Mind boggling.
He'll either fly like a bird or drop like a stone!
I might try and get some more info on this repair for those with D3s and 4s as it may be of interest to them.
I'll have to ask him to take some pics, and have a chat when we get back over there in April next.

Whatever, it'll be a heck of a project for an amateur.:):):)
