Engine timing kit 200tdi

Im after an engine timing kit for a 200tdi specifically the fuel injection pump gear retaining tool....for either nothing or very cheap or if someone has the correct dimensions so I can make one myself. I know its cheeky but if ya dont ask ya dont get

I use a 9.5mm drill bit!

pump pin can be replaced with a 9.5mm drill bit

Thanks Trewey. I have heard they are good for the timing pin, do you not bother with the gear retaining tool?

Pump gear retaining tool LST 129/1......If you dont know what its for James, perhaps I dont need it:bounce:

no you wont need it ,just pin for pump and flywheel housing

just read your other thread its not just timing your doing but pump seal, ive got a tool if you want to borrow it

Thanks James, I really appreciate that, but as Im in South Wales and you're in Louth and I want to try and take the thing out this Sunday and my only means of transport is a Defender with a badly leaking fuel pump I think Im going to have to bite the bullet and...I hate this word....buy one

you should have a bolt on pump side to lock pump ,shaft has no keyway so has to be set at tdc with pin while pump is locked at tdc when removing refitting drive flange
