doing a 19j-200Tdi conversion and I'v hit my first hurdle.
the passenger side engine mount. there's the nut on the rubber bit then theres the big bolt (19mm.) above it going onto the block.
How do you remove this bolt? the threaded part of the rubber bit prevents me getting a socket on the 19mm. bolt. the 19 mm. bolt has a U bracket on it preventing the movement of a spanner!!!!!!!!
How do I do it?????? ps I'v tried a spanner sideways but it keeps slipping off and I can't find one that is tight.

Leave the engine mounts on the block until it's out and swinging. Undo the nuts on the top and bottom of the rubber, and lift it out. :D Good luck, I'm doing the same conversion, nearly finished mine now :D:D

Remove the rubber mounts first to give yourself more access. You could get onto the rubber mount with an open ended spanner with the engine out. I still rember it being a bit of a faff and recall having to bend a cranked ring spanner to a steeper angle to get a bit of a turn on the metal engine mount bolt. All the best :) Langers beat me to it cos im a ****e typist
