this happened to me today and had similar for passed couple of weeks but today i broke down with it
over last couple of weeks, on long drive over a hour or more i would feel a loss or power on night gears but would be ok after 1 min or more
today it happened more and engine management light light comes on , if i take my foot off the throttle, the light go out but if i put foot on throttle to get more speed, the light come on again
2 years ago i changed the boost pressure solenoid as then i was loosing power at 70 mph, i ordered another one but i don't remember then if i got a light
so if i get more speed by pressing down throttle the light comes on but if i release throttle, light goes out, while all this is going on , i feel that something stopping the power , holding it back, i stopped the td4 and turned off engine and it wouldn't start
i waited 30 mins and it started, and drove with no light coming on but i could still feel something holding back the power
when i got home i pressed the throttle above 4000 revs and the engine management light comes on but only then between 3500 and 4000 revs
any ideas please

changed the fuel filter today , on computer says code P1260 fuel delivery pressure
changing the common rail fuel sensor tomorrow, hope thats it
only other thing i can think of is fuel pump

if sensor doesn't then next be fuel pump, fuel pump expensive enough so hope which ever it is fixes it
this is costing me with work as can't drive
i did fuel injectors 3 months ago

have now changed the common rail fuel sensor getting same engine management light at high revs and lack of power and code P1260
now changing the bosh fuel pump under wheel arch which cost 170 euros
is there anything else left to change

may be blocked filters etc but if you are over 70k miles and its the original fuel pump change it anyway. The ONLY thing that has ever failed to get me home so to speak is a failed fuel pump.

cheers for reply
changed for new Bosch fuel pump which is up under wheel arch and now all ok,
had to recondition the fuel injectors this year, seem one thing after another this year with fuel system
need a holiday form fixing it
thanks for advise and help guys
