engine disabled

I have started to have to press the remote handset every time i want to start the rangerover(1998 p38) even though it is not locked and im sitting in the drivers seat this happens even when it is locked with the remote then unlocked and key in ignition message says" engine disabled press remote"
any one had this problem and know how to solve

you could try the eka code see if it re sets it????

i had this a few weeks ago could find no easy fix had to buy new key. that fixed it

disconnect the battery for 36hrs and then reset the key fob etc and buy a new one too
